Course Reviews

The Pearl is a little deceiving by name. It's not a Pearl but it could be a diamond in the ruff. For a municipal course it is in pretty good condition. The front 9 is open and beginners can hit from one fairway back to the correct green or fairway and you fairly good golfer can post a low score, but the back 9 has very narrow fairways lined with trees on both sides and difficult approach shots with hazards in the front of some greens and on the sides of others. It is well worth the money ($25.00, cart included. I was in Jackson,Ms on business and played the Pearl and I would play it again IF I just happen to be in the area. The people are very nice and will do all they can to make you feel at home.

The front is very open and fair. The course is maintained pretty well considering its Pearl. Get in your low scores while you can on the front.
The back is a whole different story. You are faced with a TIGHT 9 holes facing you.
Overall for the money Pearl is the best daily player around.

Great practice course. The course was in pretty good condition. The staff was to be expected considering I was in Pearl MS. Most of the patrons were ok with the exception of one gentlemen who seemed as if he had never laid eyes on an African American before. But one bad apple doesn't spoil a bunch. Overall I had a great time with the other patrons. Probably won't play this course again unless I just can't get a tee time anywhere else. Price was good for 18 holes.

Great Course for the money. Front side is very open and the back is tight...Excellent beginner cousre!

Ok course. For the money its not bad at all. For a beginner it would be a good course to practice on. Front 9 is very open with some water. Back 9 is pretty tight. Lots of wooded areas and some water there as well.

For a municipal course it's ok. The back nine is certainly better than the front. For the money you can't go wrong, just don't expect Country Club amenities or conditions.

Not so good!

Great practice course. The back 9 is pretty tight with some water. Greens are extremely slow. Overall it's fun to play for practice.
