What happened to this course? A few years ago, it was absolutely beautiful and maintained very well. But when we played it the other day, everything was all burned up and dry and looked like it hadn't been watered in weeks! Weeds everywhere, much of the beautiful landscaping is gone. What happened to this once-beautiful golf course? It is terrible and going downhill.

Looking forward to playing there again this year.

A little known (?) gem of a course

Played Goodrich CC for the first time on 28 August 2006 after quite a bit of rain over the previous couple of days. The course was in surprisingly good condition even with the considerable wetness in low lying areas of the course. However, it was drying out nicely by the time we finished our round. Overall, we found it to be an enjoyable track with enough in the way of hazards to make it challenging for the experienced golfer without being frustrating for the average or beginning golfer. Placing shots here is more important than bombing the long ball and some of the greens are a bit tricky.

Didn't take advantage of the facilities while we were there, but everything appeared to be in good order. The restaurant facilities appeared pretty typical for grabbing a quick snack at the turn or even relaxing "apres golf" and swapping golf stories as several appeared to be doing. The pro shop seemed a bit minimalist, from what I saw of it, but in general, the facilities were pretty much on par with what I expected to find. All in all, a very high value course with friendly staff and courteous course worker.

Watch for greens fees specials which make Goodrich CC an even better value. Hope you find this review helpful. Fairways and greens!
