Played this course today, BIG disappointment! For $56 you get, severely dried out greens, divot-riddled fairways, and a minefield on every putt.
The course's website says, "the best kept secret..." yeah, the secret is that this course needs some serious help with the management that has allowed this track to suffer.
The layout is decent, but the conditions are horrendous!

I have played this course about 15 times or so and know the staff pretty well the 2010 season was a rough one but the staff and grounds crew are working non stop to get the course in great condition. The course is very fun to play. It has nice open fairways, and its fair share of difficult holes and I found the staff to be very friendly and make you feel at home. It was a great price for a round of golf I will continue to golf there for sure!

Played June 26, 2010. Let me start off by saying that I have played many courses throughout the MidAtlantic region, play at least once a week, often two or three times, and belong to a ladies golf league. I've played $120/round courses and $30/round courses. Never in my fifteen years of playing have I encountered such rude players and staff that I encountered today. This course is a small, below average course that thinks it is an exclusive, private course. After playing 9 holes, we stopped to get a quick bite to eat, use the restroom, and get something to drink (there is no water on the course except for a water fountain on the back 9, Pepsi machines however are scattered throughout the course). We went to play the 10th hole only to be accused by two groups that we were cutting in line, mind you these two groups were not even on the 9th green when we approached the 10th to wait for a foursome in front of us to tee off. This foursome also stopped for drinks and food in the snack bar. After teeing off we were approached by management that we were not suppose to stop after the 9th hole and should have continued playing to the 10th. I checked the rules on the scorecard for this course and nowhere does it state that you have to continue playing. I assume that's the reason for the two boxes with telephones in them on the course that say "Food Service" whereby you can order your food ahead of time and I suppose drive thru and get the food. Again, I've played many courses and I always stop to use the facilities and grab a drink, of course then again a drink of water is really not needed since they offer water on the course. Overall the course was in fair shape, some fairways were brown and very hard, the greens needed work as did the tee boxes. I live in Calvert County and would prefer to spend my money locally. I have choices and this course will not be my choice in the future.

Played on Easter Sunday and 2 weeks later on April 18, 2010. The greens were deep-tine spike-aerated a week before Easter but by April 18th they were like concrete, I counted seven approach shots that these greens would normally hold but that ended-up running or bouncing-off into the rough without leaving a ball mark, but with some water they should be fine. A few teeboxes (especially #5) have gone to bare dirt and dust. Fairways were in nice condition. Overall, the course was in better shape at this time last year.
