If you are looking for a good links course you should start here. This course was a true links course. A lot of courses claim to be links courses and then end up being only half links. This course is difficult from the tips. It plays all of the the 6700+ yards. You really have to put a premium on shot placement. From the front tees it looks as if you can cut a lot of corners and fly the long fescue and junk on some holes so if you're looking for a fun round this course can play that way. The tees, fairways and greens were all in great shape. The greens rolled fast and true while being deceptive in some breaks w/ a lot of undulation. This course will penalize you with missed fairways. The rough can be long and there is long fescue everywhere. I come to golf courses to golf and do not care much for the amenities, which here there are basically none. A couple drink machines is all you will find. There is a lot of drinking water on the course which is good. A bunch of great holes on this course with only a couple throw-aways. i played a $30 shotgun so the value didnt get better than that. A food and beverage cart would do wonders on this course. The guy who i guess you would call the starter (he just stood by the carts and told everyone that they could not take them in the parking lot was a toolbag) i asked him the same question 4 times in a row and all he replied was no carts in the parking lot. (really?!?) Despite that and the trailer golf shop and no alcohol allowed on the course, I would definately come back here again with my buddies.
