Cardinal Creek Golf Course, Scott Afb, IL

Played the front nine here on a Saturday morning in the summer (hot day). The course is in good shape and the staff is nice. There are some quirks such as the gnarly bunker left of the green on 3. There was a water bull ever 2-3 holes which helped in the hot day. Also, they have a halfway house but it was not open on June 22, 2013.The pace of play was on the slow side. Bunkers, ditches, water hazards, and some unique sloping make this course a challenge but a must play. Clubhouse seemed nice with ample apparel and supplies. Also, I believe guests pay their sponsors' military rate.

Played a couple of times this month and the course is hard but fun all at the same time. Wish they would cut the greens a little lower. The greens were incredibly slow. Great course for all.
