Elmwood Golf Course , Belleville, IL

Oh god what a horrible experience Elmwood was.
The GOOD:
Well technically it is a golf course. They finally re-did the cart path along no.4 green so you are no longer in danger of whiplash from those gigantic pot holes.
The BAD:
Where to start…
The two guys that run this heap are jerks (as mentioned by previous posters). The old guy was asleep at the desk when we got there (business must be slow). The younger guy actually told us to MOVE IT ALONG when there was no one within 3 holes of us and acted like he was doing us a favor by letting us play on “his” course.
They must be one of the only places that don’t take debit/credit.
The greens are tiny and are very thick and slow. I don’t know where golf link got there prices but we paid $21 to ride 9 holes on a weekend.
The biggest thing this golf course needs: NEW MANAGEMENT and people who actually give a crap.

This place could actually be a decent 9 holer if they gave a crap. Holes 5,6,7, and 9 have potential. Crotchetty old guys rule the clubhouse with an iron fist. I recommend parking your car in Dunn Meade and walking 2-8 for free if you are bored sometime.

One of the worst courses in the Belleville area. It costs way to much to play "18" which is just playing the same 9 twice. The two guys that run the place are rude and never give you any breaks like letting you play a few extra playoff holes because your tied up after 9. I attribute this to the course not making alot of money as other course say like triple lakes, the praries, clinton hill, even Spencer T, Far Oaks, and Gateway will let you play all you want for no extra charge. If you have a choice go somewhere else!!!

This is only a 9 hole course. Not very much imagination was used in designing it nor was much earth moved. A driveable par 4 and a par 4 that is nearly impossible to reach.
