North Golf Course


The 18-hole "North" course at the Makena Golf & Beach Club facility in Kihei, Hawaii features 6,914 yards of golf from the longest tees for a par of 72. The course rating is 72.1 and it has a slope rating of 139 on Bermuda grass. Designed by Robert Trent Jones, Jr., ASGCA, the North golf course opened in 2015. Rick Tramontin manages the course as the General Manager.

This is a real nice course. Not as beautiful as the Wailea Emerald course just a couple of miles north of it, but it does have stunning views. I played after 1 pm for $99 and it was a real good deal. I would recommend this course.

A thoroughly enjoyable course...great ocean views, good conditioning, an interesting variety of holes, mountain terrain, blind shots, huge risk/reward alternatives..It has it all. Try this one out; you will like it! Forget the South Course: It's gone!
