course is always in excellent shape, very large greens, long course, pretty straightforward layout, few waterholes, lack of real clubhouse, pricey, worth playing at least once.

Played Meadow Brook on a nice, comfortable Monday afternoon. Nice course.

Meadow Brook, a par 72 layout, has 5 sets of tees - the longest set (black tees) measures a robust 7,400 yards. The middle tees, the green ones, suited me just fine at 6,500 yards. In my opinion, the course is underrated for handicap purposes - a course of 6,500 yards that is tight in some places should have a tougher course and slope rating than 67.9/119.

It is a young course. It opened maybe 2 years ago after a big redesign. The course was in great shape on this Monday. True and consistent greens and nice fairways. Pace of play on this Monday afternoon was great - I played as a single in just over 3 hours (thanks to the group of three that I caught on the back nine for letting me play through). For comparison, I played 9 holes at nearby Jamestown in the morning and that took 2.5 hours.

One oddity of this course is that the 1st tee and 18th green are in the middle of the course, while the clubhouse is close to the second tee. I understand that they are going to build a clubhouse near the beginning and end of the course. For now, they are requesting that you start your round from the 2nd hole and finish on the 1st hole.

The cost to play was $40 for walking - a bit pricey for the area, but the course was in great shape and played quick, so it was worth the money.

In summary, a very nice course and a recommended play if you are in the area.

Attractive layout but not designed for golfer that can only hit shots that carry 200 yards or less, several hole gave no options on where to play shots, took 5-1/2 hours to play teeing off at 12 noon on a sunday, only hole near existing club house is Number 2 and never saw beverage cart. Course had only 2 water coolers and one was empty. Iam sure course conditions will improve as course matures, but elevate greens with traps in front of very firm large greens made it very difficult to hold the green from longer distances.

The best new course in the area and one of the top public courses in this area of New England.

By far the best public course in southern RI, front nine is challenging and the back nine is all located on a beautiful pond/river. Some of the best scenic views of any course I've played. Fast and firm greens and very accurate yardages. Also, the twilight deal is unbeatable. A definite must-play!

The golf course is now renovated to almost perfection. Many of the holes are very challenging and the rest require good ball control just to save par. Excellent course to play albeit it is on the pricey end (relatively speaking).
