Rotonda Golf & Country Club Long Marsh Golf Club , Rotonda West, FL

This is the newest of the nine-hole layouts at Long Marsh, having opened in December 2007. The holes are fairly unique when compared to the other two nines and offer some great scenery, winding through heavily wooded areas and only occasionally along backyards. Water comes into play on seven of the nine holes, making it significantly more "watery" than the rest of Long Marsh. Players must make risk-reward decisions on several of the holes. The greens are generously-sized and offer some not-so-subtle breaks. The fairways were lush when this nine first opened, but they have taken a beating and on 2/17/08, they were somewhat spotty in places. Be warned that Rotonda golf courses are overbooked during the height of snowbird season (Jan-Mar) and you will be lucky to play any of their courses in under five hours.
