Lemon Bay Golf Course Description


The 18-hole "Lemon Bay" course at the Lemon Bay Golf Club facility in Englewood, Florida features 6,180 yards of golf from the longest tees for a par of 71. The course rating is 69.5 and it has a slope rating of 126 on Bermuda grass. Designed by Jim Petrides, the Lemon Bay golf course opened in 1982. Chip Copeman manages the course as the General Manager.

We played it on 9/5 and greens were excellent. It is a very nice track and the layout is golfer friendly, not difficult. The bunkers have nice sand and are not real deep. The only negative and a big one, is the driving range has always been closed May-Oct. I have several friends who won't play it, because they like to warm up, as I do. So, I only play it maybe once a year, bummer. I'll give it a 4 star.

Beautiful natural scenery & wildlife. Nice water hazards & well kept greens and fairways.

BTW: Don't mess with the Gators!
