Nice, varied and often challenging layout! pro shop and starter first class! The course was lightly 'occupied' because of potential rain, so we finished in 4 hours! The greens had some fungus and discoloration, and were bumpy at times, but otherwise the course was well maintained. Apologies, but the one big negative were the on-course rest rooms. Terrible, "abandoned" and really dirty. A real health hazard. A pity, but the course itself was well worth the trip!
Awesome course. Played Hidden Valley on a Saturday in early January. This course is built into the hilly landscape prevalent to the Inland Empire area. Lots of elevation changes, blind shots, crevasses, brush, and coyotes too. A coyote crossed the 9th hole to join his buddies howling on the driving range just after we hit up to the green. This course is great fun, but it will hurt your handicap - in my opinion it is much harder than its course and slope rating. It is so nice and reasonably priced ($47 got me a round and a cart) that it attracts quite a crowd of people (and coyotes for that matter!). As a result, it played real, real slow. My group teed off at 11:30AM and we finished in the dark at 5:20PM. Almost a six hour round of golf.In summary, awesome course. Great views. Fairways and greens were in excellent shape. Staff was friendly and helpful. Brutal pace of play though. Be sure to book an early tee time if you want to get 18 holes in on this course.
