not a fan of mixing the soccer with the golf, it holds the golfers up and it takes too long to play. Course was average but another city owned course. It does look better then it did previously but still needs love and care

Very casual and inexpensive. Good for a day off at work to play 18 holes. Live in the area so lets keep them in business.

New ownership has upgraded the course with new irrigation and new bunkers. Greens are extremely good and the layout has many holes surrounded by wilderness. Keep an eye out to see some big alligators.
Definitely worth playing.

Twin Rivers is a great course but mixing golf with soccer (footgolf as it is called there) does not work. Soccer players do not understand golf etiquette and despite being advised that footgolf plays a lot faster than golf is a bunch of bunk!! Two of us played the back nine to avoid following three footgolf players and when we reached the front nine, the starter said to bypass another footgolf group on number 1, go to hole 2. Well, the group that was on number 1 when we went to the back 9 was moving between the number 5 green to the number 6 tee box. Not very fast in my opinion. When we reached the number 2 tee box, there was another twosome waiting for another footgolf group in front of them. It took us about 30 minutes to play number 2 and 3. When we reached number 4, the twosome in front of us was waiting for the foursome footgolf group again. The starter was there and we expressed our displeasure of having to wait for such foolery on the golf course. The starter said that the footgolf group was not the issue. Well, by the time we got to the sixth hole, we found that they were the issue. There were two holes open in front of them. They explained that one had to wade into a lake to retrieve his soccer ball (where are the alligators when you need one – sorry, that was not called for but as you can tell, I was quite agitated at this point). The other players were over flirting with the cart girl, holding us up as well as the group behind us. There was a lot of chatter at I finally shouted out “kick the d… ball or get out of the way.” They said we could play through but did not understand that the fact they were standing in front of the green did not allows us to play through – again, with no awareness of golf etiquette, they were not smart enough to get out of the way. It is one thing to get hit by a soccer ball – if they were hit by a golf ball, I am sure there would be litigation by this group. At this point, we had enough and went back to the clubhouse. We met the Pro on the way in and told him “this is BS – you cannot mix golf and soccer on a golf course.” It seems that most of the staff at Twin Rivers agree but the course GM is pushing it – it is making money at a time when the golfer population is falling off. Well, this twosome will never play there again as long as there is footgolf. I have to say, we left on a positive note when the Pro refunded our fees. My suggestion is to look elsewhere to golf in Orlando/Oviedo.
