Course Reviews

Brand new greens are the best I have ever putted in Central Florida. They were awful two years ago. Rebuilt in 2013. Now they are fast and smooth. One of my favorite layouts in the state - lots of variety and tremendous shot value. Now that the greens - and the clubhouse - have been renovated, this is a MUST PLAY track!

the previous reviews are from last year. I played on 2/9/2013 and the course is in great shape, great layout, new staff that will make you feel like a club member. Try it out, you won't be dissapointed

This course is in horrible shape. I had a free round and I feel like I got a bad deal. That was 4.5 hours I will never get back. The conditions were the worst I have ever played. Timacuan is one step away from being unplayable. Tee boxes are a disaster...weeds everywhere, no grass, trash everywhere. The landscaping is missing or dead. The fairways lack grass....yes no playable areas in the FAIRWAY. If you make it into a bunker, beware of the rocks. One would think it odd that sand would not be the main component of a bunker, but at Timacuan, crushed rock is the sand of choice. At this point, pick up. If you decide to putt, good luck. Half of the greens are dead..... DEAD. So buyer beware. Do not pay to play at Timacuan.

The course could be outstanding if only the ownership and staff would put forth effort to make this course playable.

Fairways are in great condition. However, serious maintenance is needed on the greens and tee boxes. There was way too much sand on the greens trying to fill in dead spots. Clubhouse was well maintained and restaurant has a good selection. Overall a good value for the price but the greens and tee boxes need a lot of TLC.

This is an above average course, well maintained and has several challenging holes. It seemed to me that it was designed to punish players with a long drive. The greens were very fast and a couple of them needed some attention from the grounds keeper but overall the course was in good shape. I would play there again.

Not a bad golf course. It has several holes that will challenge you, especially off the tee box. Not the most pleasant staff I encountered in Florida. They have a very high opinion of themselves. Nice bar and grill with pretty good food. I would play this course again.

I made our booking by internet through CypressGolfSolutions and the rate was confirmed to be $58.
As this was the last round of our two weeks holiday, we
had high expectations of a great golf.
Unfortunately it was not great.
Firstly the the pro-shop required me to pay $78 pp plus
tax but after few minutes argumentation he accepted $10
less. However, I had to pay $145,52 instead of agreed $20 lower.
Secondly there was no order in the course. We were passed
after 6 holes one man with a small kid without any
question saying "I have to catch up with those" (a
threesome in front of us).
Then there was a group of 6 young men playing all in one
group, making a lot of noise and slowing other players
pace essentially.
And in general the course itself was far away from "among
20 best public courses in Florida". Amongst the courses I
have played in the US (which is about 100), this corresponded the average courses of $30-40 per round.

Wow what a disappointment! Sure glad we only paid $33 ea for a 1:30 teetime THAT 5.5 HOURS TO PLAY!. We played the first hole fine, but we get to the 2nd tee and there are 6 groups on the hole 4 waiting to tee off one in the fairway and one on the green! I have a problem when there staff is huuvering over my clubs at the 18th green to clean them! Then when I ask the staff member politely to not clean them he tries to anyway. I then ask him not to touch our equipment and he then tells me to leaving the course immediatly! And I'm then threatened that he'll call the pro if I don't leave immediatly? Humm not a way to get repeat business boys! Now I REMEMBER WHY I HAVEN'T PLAYED HERE IN 8 YEARS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

has one of the longest par 4's you will ever play.
