Fairways and greens are wee maintained. One thing I don't like is we have to pay attention to players in other holes in front nine. Back nine is a bit harder than better to concentrate. over all this is one of my favorite courses in south bay.

I have played this course dozens of times. I live about 1/2 mile away, so its very convenient. The course is great for beginner/intermediate golfers. The course is well maintained and is very forgiving for those days you may not be playing your best. The executive 9 hole 3par course is great to keep your short game sharp.

The clubhouse and pro shop are both nice. The hired help is very helpful too. Food is good and priced right. The guy that claimed he had his putter stolen 2 times might want to keep his putter in hand after finishing each hole. How can you leave a putter behind? It's the last club you're holding before going onto the next T box. I lost a sand wedge a couple of weeks ago. Somebody turned it in to the pro shop and I got it back the next week. I highly recommend this course!

sat, 14th and I had read a few reviews about this course being slow and not worth it, with a few other bad things... well I have to say to start with the pace of play was awsome, 4.25hrs with a stop at 9...
the pro shop staff of keith/scott were great too, gave a few tips about the course and even took care of us as one of our players was late. and the pro shop was well stocked and I found many items on sale and at great price. the course overall was super, the greens were med fast with no divot marks... this course if you haven't played it requires a bit of local knowledge for about 5 holes as you can do better if you know where to hit. but the card shows pics for that. I have to say the morning was quite and nice and the range is great too, and they have a huge putting green and a pitching green too, but by the turn it was busy with folks practicing but I'm told its not always that way. they have a nice par 3 course too. now for the clubhouse, the food was great I had and really well priced with big portions. I had a turkey/cheese for 4.25 and it included potato salad too, nice. for golf course food and prices I felt they were the one of the best I've seen in a while. the bar too has a great selection of beers and a few big screens to watch golf or local sports on. I have to say this course is allot of fun and has some really interesting holes and given the condition of the greens and pace of play, it was great... the twilight is the best deal I think, as I was leaving there seemed to be no one on 1st couple of fairways... ps, the only reason I gave it 4 stars out of 5 is for the greens fee, there are other courses around that are just a bit cheaper than here for weekend play. otherwise it would have gotten 5 stars for a great muni course...

I've now had two Scotty Cameron putters stolen while playing at this golf course. The course management is completely negative about admitting to a theft problem. I will never play this course again.

Winter time here in California. This course is not worth the time of driving. Seriously. For one this course is so crowded and not a marshall in site. Yep. That bad. It took 3 hrs 50 minutes to play all of nine holes. What a joke. Come on guys. The scenery at this place is nice. I just can't see anyone going back to this course unless they live very close. I paid $43 for 9 holes with a cart. WHAT!!!! You have got to be kidding me. I will take my business to coyote or to cinnabar for that price.
This course is so-so. Lots of sand to make it somewhat interesting. No long holes. A very attractive power line runs through the middle of this course. Ouch. The greens were nice, fast, course is OK in terms of maintenance. I play a lot of golf and spend the winters on the West coast. This is the first course that I played here in San Jose and I am looking forward to the rest of the courses to be a lot nicer and more reasonable in price. I guess the owner just looks out at all the people and doesn't really care about customer satisfaction. I know that I will not go back! Not that they need my business. Not sure why all the people. You would think that this was the only course on the coast.
Wake up people.

VERY SLOW PLAY. 3 1/2 hours first nine holes. Many holes are very close together with OB if you go into adjacent fairway even though wide open. Read the scorecard carefully before you tee off to know what's OB.

Good Test

There is enough variety within this layout to provide even the low handicapper with an enjoyable test of golf. The shorter of the par 4's have well guarded greens and require accurate iron shots. Most greens are moderately well-guarded, of medium speed and roll true. On the negative side, the rounds are very long. I often head to the parking lot in frustration after the 14th, when I come upon the backup of three groups at the par 3. Good test of your game, as you will use every club in your bag. There is a fun par 3 course available to work on your irons.
