Being from Florida, This course was quite different from what I'm used to with the elevation changes and all. The staff were very friendly, the course very well maintained and challenging. They paired me up with a couple of locals which helped..Very nice course..A little pricey for a non SF resident..

I would NOT golf here!! Unfriendly staff, and too pricey for quality of the course.

Quetote - I don't think it is appropriate to re-post or duplicate a past review (from AnnaM, dated Monday, December 10, 2007 below). Anyway I love Presidio GC. SF Residents: Be sure to pay less than 50% the posted rates.

This is a challenging course for any level of player, it is not so much about hazards as the elevation changes and sloping fairways. Always bring layers of clothing even if the sun is shining in downtown San Francisco. Throw in the Fog and Wind and this is a very difficult course. the back 9 seems to be more difficult then the front. you have to adjust for the elevation changes. The green and fairways were all very green. I would love to play this course on a sunny not windy day.

The worst course in the bay area. Try Harding if you are coming to the bay area. This course is sooooooo expensive and sooooooo badly maintained!!!! The fairways look like constructions sites, and the whole course is like a swamp, always muddy and its always freezing. It seems the mangement are only interested in trying to squeeze as many people on for the highest rates possible hence the bad condition and incredibly slow rate of play, in six hours I got through 10 holes. Secondly the staff are really terrible, really bad attitude. Trust me there are 10 places you should play before you try this dump out, a truly terrible experience.

played my first full 18 holes here in december 2007. beautiful scenery. the trees are awesome. hole 13 was my favorite. i had a ton of fun, but mostly because of the people i was with, since im not too good at golf. bring layers of clothing, specially if its not sunny. lots of hills and elevation changes. there were three of us playing and we finished in 4:25 (and this was my 1st time playing 18 holes). we didnt have to wait too much at the tees since we had a muddy day and it wasn't too full. golf is about the people you're with. go with your friends and enjoy a great day at a great course! shoutout to to sam "the shotgun" and Yvette "lorena Jr."

Add it to your list of great courses to play.

Solid example of SF golf. Weather is always a factor, the clay base makes for muddy conditions in wet weather, but still a good test and really nice scenery. Plays really long and only solid players will score well. If you can get an online deal, it's a top consideration. At full price on a bad weather day, not nearly as enthusiastic.

Nice but expensive. This would be a really nice course to play on a nice sunny day. However, I have played here a few times and every time it was another round in the fog. This course could also get very windy.
