This is a beautiful course, but I find it a bit overrated, mainly because of pace of play. I've been at times that should be quiet, like late weekday mornings, and still it's usually 5+ hours. You have to be very good to keep your ball in play consistently, and there's nothing wrong with a course being difficult, but it makes for a slow round when half the people on the course are constantly hiking around looking for golf balls. They call everything a lateral hazard instead of OB, but even that doesn't help much. The par-5s are long and can be three-shot holes even for big hitters if the wind is unfavorable. I've had some good rounds here (and some bad), but I play only rarely because the slowness gets so frustrating. The staff are polite, though, and the carts have individual coolers and club/ball washers, which is fun.

I played Oak Quarry yesterday. It lived up to the reviews. Equal to any of the great resort courses I've played. The clubhouse is OK, nothing to write home about. The course is very fun with lots of unique and interesting holes. I played to my level from the white tees and enjoyed every minute. A player who joined me insisted on playing from the tips and spent many minutes looking for lost balls. His score was well over 100 and he struggled throughout the round. My experience was terrific. I'll come back there soon and bring my friends.

I love this course!!! Need more discounts! Want to play this more! Would give more stars on amenities but there is no real food shack at the turn. One of the must play courses in IE. Just do it once, you'll get hooked!

Service at Oak Quarry is excellent. Employees are extremely attentive and genuinely nice. Driving range, club house, pro shop, golf carts with GPS, etc. Pretty much everything you need. As for the course, the tee boxes were in fantastic condition. Fairways were also in nice shape. Greens were really slow and soft (almost felt padded carpet). The condition of the greens could have been better as the grass was extremely spotty. Also seemed to be quite a few unrepaired divot marks.

Very challenging yet fun course. Outstanding starter that gives you all the tips you need if you've never played the course. Probably the most scenic course I've ever played with lots of elevation changes.
The play was really slow but worth it. Just wish this was closer to home but also worth the hour drive from OC. A MUST play at least once!

Yes yes if you can get when its not 100 degrees and or the wind isnt blowing 25 mph then get here and hand them your c note its worth it. The views layout and conditions are great. The greens are very true and fast the bunkers are devilishly places and the water hazards
are in all the right places. The staff are friendly and the bar is first rate. This course has no weak point other than the weather at times, even the carts and new style gps units are very cool. We play all the best courses in So.Cal. and we like this one best .

Beautiful course and very challenging. A little expensive for my blood, but probably worth the price.

Very nice course. Challenging yet fair. Fairways are wider then you think. The par 3's are challenging. Greens run fast with grain and slow against it so find out which way it runs. Some very beautiful and difficult bunkers so watch out for sucker pin placements. Will play again when in area. Wish price was better.

One of the best signature holes around. Price is fair, but truthfully, I wish it was cheaper so I could play it more. Good friendly managament! A must play course!!

The scenery is great. #14 is all that it is cracked up to be...absolutely beautiful and challenging. Key to the greens is given by the starter...everything breaks to the mountain except 3 and 12 so have fun.
