Feb. 2012 - Just played a tournament there today. The course was in pretty good shape for February. I understand it was rough a couple weeks earlier. The greens were hard and smooth, (I like it that way). Tee boxes were rough, but how much time is spent at the tee box? Driving range is good and a good value. Staff is very friendly and curtious. Bathrooms are clean. This is a walking course with no carts available, but the holes are close enough together and walking is not laborsome. This particular day was very windy and the narrow fairways are tricky to navigate in the wind. You need to have some control if you play on a windy day there. There are a couple of residential streets and the river to avoid with arrant drives. I generaly don't like executive courses because I like to use my driver more that my irons. This course was a nice change though. I'll have to try this course again when the weather warms up and the bermuda grass turns green again. Definately worth the time and a good value.

Update to this earlier review. I've since played here twice more and am not impressed. The greens are not consistantly maintained the ground squirrles have run of the course, digging holes everywhere. Both times since my first expierience, the greens have been in terrible shape. They might as well have taped the whole course off as ground under repair. Everything else about the course is fine. But they don't charge enough money to keep the conditions in good shape. Really dissapointed. Won't be back.

I guess i get what I pay for. As I was golfing, they turned the sprinklers on me. The maintenance guys sat there in his cart and watched me. I told the guy at the front desk and said o well. Ill never go back and advise you to do the same.

Best course I've been so far to when it comes to a friendly environment. You're treated as family from the moment you walk in. Well balanced when it comes to beginners (inexpensive lessons and understanding instuctors) and those looking for a bit more of a challenge. The course is extremely varied, and the Front 9 is very nice for practicing irons. Very good price value as well. Highly recommended for those with children who wish to have a shared family experience. (The environment has improved considerably since the last review below)

This course has fell off the map, it used to be ok, now it's almost unplayable. It may be a ok place to practice, but that's it. The greens were in such bad shape that sometimes half of the green was roped off. The tee boxes were garbage, the surroundings were dirty and unpleasant. Terrible place, it has gone way down hill. The 10th hole is overrated, if anyone tells you to go there for that, don't it's not worth it. I wish I liked this place, and 13 dollars for the back nine isn't bad, but you get what you pay for. Stay away.

One of most varied short courses I have ever played. Elevation changes, doglegs, water, a river are all there. 18 holes with a 'top' that is fairly straight, and a 'bottom' that runs by the river with some nice views and a bit of challenge. Just a fun place to play.

Pretty good place to practice putting and chipping on the practice greens. Front 9 is great for practicing with irons. Shauna is great and the rest of the crew is nice as well. Cant complain about much here--$20 for 18 holes?

I think clshep described the course perfectly. Its a fun course. The 10th hole is fun because of the elevation drop. If you are a beginner like me then its a good course especially since there are no sandtraps. I love playing this course. When I want something more challenging I like Dryden or Creekside.

Front 9 are are all Par 3's so if you want to work on your irons, this is a good course. The back 9 is when you will break out your driver but only for a 3 holes. Course is well kept and it's a good deal (roughly 20 bucks for 18 holes). No riding golf carts so you will have to carry your clubs or use a rolling cart which you can rent there as well.

Shauna the beer girl is always pleasant and a welcoming site as she drives up in cart with 2 huge ice chests full of ice cold drinks. From Gatorade to Tall Boy selections of beers.

Dustin in the clubhouse is very friendly and always willing to help with any questions you may have.

The 10th & 12th holes are by-far the most challenging as the 10th looks a whole lot easier than it appears as you're hitting the ball DOWN into a valley where there is a slip-stream above the tree line. This may sound difficult but considering the tee-box is roughly at the same height as the tree line below (fairway), if you launch it high, the slip-stream will push your ball into the woods on the right. Then there is a plethora of trees you have to hit through in order to reach the geen.

The 12th hole dog-legs to the right and the dog-leg consists of a river you have to try to hit OVER in order to make it to the fairway! If you can make the dogleg, it's easy sailing....but me and my crew have contributed our fair share of golf balls to that river!

All in all, for a beginner like me...its a great course to break-in to the game.
