Pine Valley has the potential to be a really nice course, but unlike many of the other reviews I will not be reccommending this golf course as a place to play. The layout of the course is great, several unique holes, and water comes into play a fair amount adding to some pretty nice scenery. Unfortunately, however, this is where the compliments come to an end. What absolutely ruins an otherwise nice course is the maintainance which is rivaled for the worst I have ever played. Many fairways had literally more bare areas of dirt than actual areas of grass. Several other holes, especially 3 and 4 are simply ridiculous with the slope of the fairway. I guarantee nobody's drive stays in play because the best of drives will run out of bounds due to the steepness of the slope. $9 to walk weekday peak hours sounds like a great deal, but it's not because your really not playing golf with the existing conditions. Furthermore, it's impossible to improve or work on any aspect of your game, likewise, due to the maintainance. They do have logo balls for the collector like myself, a benefit. Great scenery, great layout....AWFUL AWFUL playing conditions including every tee box being dirt so dry you literally have a hard time putting a tee into the ground. If you truly are someone that plays once or twice a year or want to take a youngster out to play for cheap, definately come here. If you play remotely for real..then do not come. Overall rating D+

Very friendly staff, i feel very welcome every time i go, been 5 times, had a great time every time, seriously thinking about becoming a member, but in the meantime will be back several time. Tee boxes are in ok conditions, fairways on front 9 are in bad shape, all greens are ok, but the back 9 is better overall. My favorite course, by far. It'll cost ya 20 during week days before 4 pm, and 17 after 4, with cart rental. Tee times are needed on weekends, and it is 22 before 4 and 20 after 4, with cart rental. Great course overall, would recommend it to anyone looking for a great way to spend a day golfing cheap.

I played a 3 man scramble on this golf course on 03/24/11. All 3 of us are from out of town. We enjoyed our round of golf. The course is great to get out & play a little & practice a little. While the course isn't long, it defends itself with uneven slopes & other subtleties. Pine Valley will never be confused with a country club, but neither will it's fees. The value is very good & so is the atmosphere. We were made to feel very welcome in the pro shop. Bottom line, Lord willing, I will go back & play there again some day.
