Where do I start? This course is in my local playing area. I have played it many times, 6 this year alone with the last being 07/05/11. Let's start with the tee boxes. They are absolutely beautiful. I wish the fairways were exactly the same. There is nothing wrong with the fairways. I just like a little extra cushion under my ball as I play. If you miss the fairway, the bermuda rough used to be so tall, your ball was practically unplayable if you could find it. Mr Hale, the new groundskeeper is doing a better job of keeping the rough a little more playable. The greens are very nice. They were converted to a hybrid bermuda from bent grass a few years ago. As with any golf course, there are always a few holes that make a course harder to play, & this one is no exception. Water plays a big part on holes 8,9,12,17, & 18. These are probably the holes that will make or break your round. Weekday rates are $37/18 holes with a cart ... weekend is $47. There are so many "events" on the weekends during the peak season, you better check to see if the course is even available. MY BIGGEST COMPLAINT: THEY WILL NOT LET YOU TAKE YOUR golf cart OUT TO YOUR CAR. I have never run into this before at any golf course. It's really fun to carry your clubs to the car after a hot round of golf in the summer. Bottom line, I will play here again, but only during the cheaper weekdays.
We we fortunate to find this course in our 3/2010 quest for golf. Winter rate $50 for 2 w/cart. Great value and clean well-maintained course. Would love to visit when it's green.
