I would give the course a higher number of stars, however the it is a short in distance. With that said the course is an outstanding course with tight fairways, and smaller greens. Aim small hit small. I really like the course not just because it is where I learned to play but it is challenging. I took a buddy of mine that claimed to be a really good golfer, he did not like the course "It's too difficult." The beauty in this course are the folks that run it. No the club house isn't fancy with chandeliers and matradies but you will not meet a friendlier group of folks.

A nice short course with narrow fairways surrounded on both sides by thick forest. This course is great for honing your accuracy. Not much room for errant slices or hooks, unless you like walking in the woods searching for your wayward ball. I am a high handicapper and I will usually lose at least 6 or 7 balls during course of play. I like to take my time and it usually takes me 3-3 1/2 hours to play depending on how crowded the course is. The owners are great and add a nice mom and pop southern atmosphere.

Great short course. I holed a 97 yard par 3 for my 1st (and only) hold in one--hole no. 2. Flat course and okay for an afternoon walk. Great value and friendly staff.

Nice "short course" - 8 par 3's; 7 par 4's. You get to use clubs that you might not use a lot on longer courses. Very nice greens that are not too fast, but the fairways are pretty hard, so you get a lot of bounce and roll if you stay in between the trees. The tee boxes are not in very good shape - very hard and not much grass on them. But for the price a great value plus, if the course is not crowded, you can play a round in 2 hours.

Played for the first time today, and was impressed. What a value. A couple of the greens were not in too good of shape, but don't let that stop you from playing here. The staff is extra courteous. That more than made up for the couple of bad greens on the course. Some of the fairways are tight, and several very short par 3's and 4's, but truly a treat to play here. I would reccomend this course to anyone, beginner, or advanced. I will return to this course again.

Fun course with some unusual aspects. Best of all are the people. Staffa and guest alike are friendly beyond belief. You are always welcomed by someone. No aggressive Bubbas to be found. Ladies and gentlemen all, like golf was meant to be.

Nice little course. It's got some really short par 3s and 4s, but fun to play and great for the price. Great people also.

Fun little course perfect for the short game golfer. I myself am not a huge fan because short golf is kinda my "bad" spot. The people in the clubhouse are great, and the course really seems to be taken care of, have fun playing Hickory Creek!

Hickory Creek

A short course, but very good for the novice to intermediate golfer. Hickory Creek is a good value and fairly well maintained, however the fairways are TIGHT, heavily wooded, making it easy for stray strokes to become lost and never seen again. Overall, it is a great practice course to improve your game.

Not Bad at All

This is a nice little course. The front nine is a little weak with 2 ridiculously short holes. I'm talking less than 70 yards. The rest of the front is alright. The back nine I believe has been added more recently, and it much, much better. It's considerably longer and has some narrow fairways. Many holes are lined by heavy trees which increases the difficulty considerably. There a few holes that are a bit more open, though. I've only played this course 3 or 4 times, and the greens have always been in decent enough shape for this price range. This course doesn't have any bunkers, which I suppose makes maintenance a bit easier, but makes the course less difficult. Hickory Creek is actually quite a beautiful tree lined course. However, the best part by far is the staff. They are as friendly anyone could hope for. They seem to be just good ol', country folks. Hickory Creek is located off of highway 107, about 10 minutes past the Little Rock Air Force Base. I would definitely reccommend this course to anyone looking for a nice place to spend a day without breaking the bank. Enjoy.
