This course is a great value, and at $13 for eighteen and a cart it's hard to find a better price for a day of golf. With that being said, the course could use some big improvements in a lot of areas. The tee boxes are so hard you will break a few tees just trying to press them in the ground and on a few it is hard to find a decent spot to even place a tee with the tall crab grass. The fairways are in rough shape as well. There are very few spots of even decent grass to hit a shot from. You are pretty much guaranteed to hit a few horrible shots just due to your lie. Now the greens, they are in decent shape. Small and extra firm making it hard to stick an approach shot but also roll slow making long putts difficult. They are in better shape than I have seen before but could still use a lot of work. The amenities are non existent. There are no water fountains or coolers throughout the course but the clubhouse does offer cheap drinks and snacks at the turn. Our cart died on #16 and the breaks were not the best they could use some maintenance badly. Now on a better note the staff was very friendly and the layout of the course makes for some fun and challenging shots. Altogether not a bad course if you are short on money and just looking to have a good time more than enjoy a round of challenging golf. Worth playing at least once but i cant promise it would be worth the drive from Birmingham. Hole of the course: The # 15 215 yard par 4 offers a challenging shot from the tee and ends with an island green. If you want you can shoot for the green or choose to lay up for an easier second shot.

I play here at least once a week the greens are fast and bumpy ,but for the price it's hard to beat. The people who work there are always friendly which is a plus considering the workers at other golf courses. For a beginner this is a great course.
