November, when our thoughts are on the approaching holidays, college football and – the Masters?
In a month known for gratitude, we are all pretty thankful that there will be a Masters Tournament at all after the 2020 PGA Tour schedule was wiped out this past spring and summer because of COVID-19 concerns. It's not April, the dogwoods aren't blooming at Augusta National Golf Club and sunlight hours are at a premium because of the end of Daylight Savings Time. Still, the 2020 Masters might be the most watched ever.
How Will You Watch the 2020 Masters?
There will be no on-site spectators (otherwise known as patrons) permitted on the grounds of Augusta National during the tournament. Instead, Fred Ridley, Chairman of Augusta National Golf Club, announced that coverage of the 2020 Masters Tournament will be aired on multiple platforms, including longtime partner CBS, Masters.com, the official Masters app and, for the first time, ESPN’s College GameDay.
"When exploring ways to showcase a fall Masters, we were drawn to the concept of hosting College GameDay at Augusta National to introduce the Tournament to a new audience and provide even more anticipation and excitement to the event," Ridley said in a release on Masters.com. "We appreciate the collaboration with ESPN, our longtime broadcast partner, for this first-of-its-kind opportunity."
Masters Tournament Coverage - TV and Streaming
In total, there will be 18 hours of live coverage over four days, starting at 1 p.m. ET on Thursday, November 12th. New angles and shots from around the course are planned.
Live Masters coverage will be broadcast to more than 200 countries and territories. Our troops can also watch the tournament through the American Forces Network, which will broadcast the event to U.S. military installations throughout the world.
Supplement the live broadcasts with the Masters website and app for coverage of Featured Groups, Amen Corner, hole Nos. 15 and 16 and a new channel covering hole Nos. 4, 5 and 6. The popular "Every Shot, Every Hole" feature returns while “My Group” debuts this year and allows fans to create a feed of every shot from their favorite players.
