Meet Katherine Marren - A Top 50 Golf Instructor

Introducing Katherine Marren, Renowned Golf Instructor

Hi, I am Katherine Marren from the Pebble Beach Golf Academy. I am also on the instruction panel for Golf For Women Magazine and a Top 50 Teacher. I am a PGA Professional and I have been teaching golf for almost 20 years. At the Pebble Beach Golf Academy we teach golfers of all ages and abilities. We use state of the art technologies to help our students learn and improve. Locally I am probably known best for teaching good club players to reduce their handicaps a few more strokes but I also love teaching women, beginners and juniors. My student lessons encompass three main points. Full swing instruction, short game scoring and on course playing. We also work hard on practice plans and practice management. I love to teach golf. I am lucky to fill my passion and work at a world famous resort. I hope that you find these tips useful and enjoyable. Thanks for watching and if you are ever on the Monterey Peninsula stop and say hello.

How to Stop Flipping the Golf Ball (and Fix Your Slice) Flipping or scooping keeps your hands back and closes the clubface to counteract an up and down slice swing. Fix this by rounding out your swing plane, turning your grip further to the left and letting your arms turn over as you go through impact.
