Video Golf Tip | Short Putt Tee Drill

Here is one of my favorite drills for short putting accuracy. Obviously when we get in close we need to be very accurate and your line becomes tremendously important. This is a terrific drill, it narrows your target tremendously. We putt simply to a tee. It is also a wonderful drill to do if you are at a place where people walk around the green, you can put the tee over near the side of the green where people have not walked very much and get a much truer roll. When you putt to the tee you really narrow down your focus. If you can hit that tee most of the time you are going to be a lot more confident when you get on the green. Even if you miss, like I just missed on that one, just barely missed on that one, those are pretty much almost going dead center of the hole. When you putt to a tee after a while of doing this little drill back and forth, I know when I was playing a lot more competitive golf, this was one drill that really helped me with my short putting. I felt so much more confident and I also see a lot of top players do this drill when they are away from the tour. Putt to a tee, get used to a very narrow target, then when you go to the hole you can visualize this tee right in the back of the hole, right in the center of the hole. Try to visualize the tee when you are on the golf course, putt right to it and you will be a lot better on your short putts.

Better Delivery Position for a More Powerful Swing The delivery position of the swing is when the club shaft is parallel to the ground, at which point the right elbow and knee should have kicked in towards the center of your stance
Analyze Your Impact The only way to have a proper impact position is if the back of your left hand is square to the target at impact
Backswing: Arm Movement In the backswing the arms do not move back but rather hinge upwards
