Review of Nike SQ Dymo

By Clint Hale

The Nike SQ Dymo driver has two different designs: a square-headed clubhead, as well as the more traditional rounded clubhead. Each club features a front-loaded center of gravity, which helps increase speed while minimizing spin, which in turn produces increased distance and ball flight. The extra-light shaft aids in speed and stability, while core material in the tip of the club increases power. The original SQ Dymo retails for approximately $150 to $300, depending on the golfing outlet.

With the substantial size of the clubhead (both round and square), it's no surprise that the driver provides ample distance increase for a majority of golfers. The SQ Dymo line of drivers also adds height to most tee shots.

Due to its angled head and nontraditional design the SQ Dymo square-headed driver may cause trouble when you're shaping shots in the tee box. The round club doesn't produce this problem as much. The clubs are also quite costly when compared to other drivers.

Bottom Line

Considering the club is endorsed by the world's best golfer--Tiger Woods--the Nike SQ Dymo with its distance-adding performance is a surefire bet for those who want to improve their drive.
