Professional golfers play the game to win tournaments and make money. Usually, those two things go hand-in-hand, but not always. These are the 10 most prolific money-makers who have never won a PGA Tour, DP World Tour (formerly European Tour), or LIV Golf tournament.

Golfers Who Have Made The Most Money Without Winning

To get to the top level of professional golf, players have to win at some level, right? So before we look at the top 10 winless money-earners, let’s establish the criteria. A win on any of the major professional tours, including the PGA Tour, DP World, and yes, even LIV Golf, exonerates players from this conversation. Some of these players have professional wins on the Korn Ferry Tour and Champions Tour, but we’re going to ignore those (for now).

The career earnings criteria is equally as debatable. Should we count money earned on the Korn Ferry, Champions, and even LIV tours? Since you can make the argument both ways, we’re building two lists. Both lists are accurate through the end of the 2021-22 professional golf season.

The first list includes all career money from the PGA Tour, Korn Ferry Tour, Champions Tour and through individual LIV Golf finishes (only one player who fits the criteria has earned money competing in LIV Golf). We did not count team money earned through LIV Golf.

That first list is a little harsh for some players. Take Brandt Jobe, for example. While he’s never won on the PGA or DP World Tours, he has won on the Champions Tour, where he’s made over $6 million. Should that $6 million really propel him near the top of the list of players with the most money without winning, since he won on the tour where he earned it?

For that reason, our second list is specific to players who have earned the most money on the PGA Tour without winning, and removes their Korn Ferry, Champions Tour and LIV earnings. Wins on the DP World Tour and LIV still exclude players from this list, a detail Peter Uihlein can thank us for later (Uihlein has earned $14,506,031 across the three tours, with one DP World win to his credit).

The Silver Lining

Winning any golf tournament is hard. While these guys would love to get their names off this list, the consolation of seven- or eight-figure career earnings softens the sting of that annoying “without a win” tag that gets associated with their names.
