The five most prestigious tournaments on the LPGA Tour are the ANA Inspiration, the Women's PGA Championship, the U.S. Women's Open, the Women's British Open, and the Evian Championship. Together these tournaments are known as the Majors. Unlike the men's game, the amount of major championships has changed considerably throughout the history of women's golf, with anywhere between 2-5 majors contested yearly since the late 1930s. Founding member of the LPGA Patty Berg enjoys the record for most major tournament wins.
