By Bob Wyatt

When putting, remember to check these four set-up fundamentals:

  1. Putter face square to target line
  2. Eyes over target line
  3. Shoulders square (parallel) to target line
  4. Hands vertically under shoulders

There can still be a lot of individual style and comfort within these parameters. These four set-up fundamentals are common to all great putters, and will help insure your success. *

Putting On-Plane Learn an exercise to allow the putter to travel straight back and through on a plane
Direct Line Green Reading Read greens by selecting the high point of the putt between the spot and the hole, and let the contour of the green bring the ball into the hole
Two Commong Bunker Faults The two most common bunker problems are allowing your club to hit the ball instead of using the sand as a cushion and allowing your spine or stance to tilt back which causes the club to enter the sand too early
