A Really solid course with a great layout and nice views.

A good test for the casual or advanced golfer. I found the greens to be challenging with many undulations. The two par 3s on the front nine both entail shots over water. Trees border the rough on most holes. Not extremely hilly for being called the mountain course...just some distant small hills. The Par 3 13th has a tree strategically placed on the left side of the green creating an absolute precision tee shot if wanting to get close to the pin. Most holes have some scenic value to them...but one of the prettiest holes in the area is the lowest hole on the course...the par 4 14th that would be absolutely spectacular in the fall. Tee boxes are a bit odd and certainly not my favorite with many uneven lies to tee from...especially uphill tee boxes. To me...the Mountain course is about putting...and the slopes of some of the greens makes this a tough course for those of us who lack great putting skills. Worth a trip though!

Really good layout with some very memorable holes. Course is playable by most skill levels and provides a fun day for any golfer. One of my biggest pet peeves on any golf course is houses close to fairways, greens and/or tee boxes. There are some holes here that have homes a little too close, but others that you almost feel like no one lives anywhere near. Lots of elevation changes make it fun as well.

Great golf course

Mountain View is beautifully maintained and doesn't give you a single bad hole on the course. Par 3s feature a couple of wedge length holes and a couple of middle or short irons - should be four different clubs for most folks. Par 5s offer a couple of reachable but dangerous holes and two that are three shotters for almost everyone. There are even a couple of reachable par 4s. Great views (wait until you get to #16!) and a great course. Only gripe is that it is a very difficult walk due to great distances between green and tee (not to mention the elevation changes), but they do offer a nine hole walking rate.
