9 hole par-3 course
The 9-hole "Monroe" course at the Monroe Golf Club facility in Monroe, Washington features all the hallmarks of Washington golf. Designed by Leonard Schragg/(R)Bill Overdorf, the Monroe golf course opened in 2007.
This course is apparently closed. The owner of the property appears to be in bankruptcy proceedings.
Very short, very poorly maintained. Greens were dry, cracked, dead and bumpy. Tee boxes were in okay shape. Greens cost me at least two strokes. However the par 4 7th (the only 4 on the course) was a fairly nice hole. Blind landing area for drive is the biggest challenge on the course. Value is okay considering I walked on for $5 in the honor box and there was 5 people on the course on Father's day.
