WAY over-priced for the quality of the course compared to others in the area. The day we played it was cart paths only, and pace of play was over five hours. In talking with both starter and ranger, neither of these conditions is unusual. We played in mid-June, and they had only had four days when it was not cart-paths-only. Seems like very poor design, for such a new course, to not have planned for better drainage. Starter was friendly, but most of the other personnel didn't seem to care if we were there or not. For a course off the beaten path, they need to do better.... there are too many other great courses in the area to play.

For what we paid this course was a joke. 5 1/2 hour, cart path only, no marshal and no beverage cart. The rough was 6 inches deep right off the fairways and aprons. The staff in the pro shop very unfriendly.

Everything about this course is exellent includes course layout, maintenace and views except Da unfriednly staffs. esfecially servers of grill are highly unorganized and lack of service mind. I would've given 5 stars rate for this course if there was some kind of hospitality either in proshop or fire creek grills.

I played druids glen last summer and really enjoyed myself. from the gps golf carts to the gorgous scenery, it was well worth the $$. not to mention shooting 77 from the blues. i will more then likely be back in the near future.

A terrific track with many views of Mt. Rainier. Nothing unfair, but birdies don't come easy. Great for walking but, as it is in the "hills," you get a workout.

South King Countys finest

I absolutely love this course, a little pricey for me but when I get the chance, 0600 tee time is all mine! Plays long to the average golfer and will give any experienced golfer the run for his/her money. Even if you are having a bad round, have a beer and as the sun goes down enjoy the beautiful scenery. Stuck back in the woods, between Kent, Maple Valley and Black Diamond, this course is filled with wildlife, is very quaint and secluded. A very fun course to play once you save some money. Play bogey golf at this course and go home happy!

Kent is not Ireland, but Washington's Druids Glen is a fine course

Druids Glen in the Maple Valley (Kent / Covington area) of south King County is an exceptional course. It had been raining over the weekend I played and the fairways were very wet with some squishy turf in places and lots of divots lying around. Some of the sprinkler heads were under murky water so that I could not read the distances to the pin. When I played it in early June, the greens were quite slow, but I'm sure they are faster later in the year. Despite these spring-related issues, this is an incredibly scenic course where on a number of holes, you will wish you had your camera. Unfortunately for me it was overcast the day I played so I could not see Mount Rainier towering over the course as they show on the scorecard. The course has 4 tees on every hole and the difference between the white tees (6000 yards) and the tips is over 1100 yards. The slope rating is 127 and plays that way. The 2nd and 9th holes are nearly exact duplicates with the green on a small peninsula jutting out into a lake with water wrapping around the back of the greens. On both these holes and 5 others you will shoot over water at some point. Lots of bunkers, other hazards, and lost balls for me. Penalty strokes pushed up my score especially on the back 9 where I had 5 strokes more than the front. The clubhouse and restaurant are nice. Mats at the practice range. Somewhat expensive, but probably worth the price since I didn't regret the day.
