I played thie course on Black Friday and it was very nice. Staff was very hospitable, course was very well maintanined and speed of play wasn't bad for a holiday. Definitely one of the better values in the area. Highly recommended

Our navy reunion golfed at honey bee september 21st 2012. Jim ran the pro shop and was extremely helpful and really made this outing a highlight of the weekend. The folks on the course, marshall, the lovely beer lady were friendly and attentive to our needs during the day.

The course is challenging and the water hazards and rough will test your accuracy. Overall this course is a must if your in the va beach area. Course, price, staff are all excellent. We will be back. J.J. Wilson, JFK RATS & CATS Reunion coordinator

I tried to play at Stumpy Lakes but due to a tournament I decided to play Honey Bee GC and I am glad I did. The golf course layout is very interesting and challenging. It only cost me $35 to play and it was worth every bit of it. I would highly recommend the course to any golfer visiting the area.

I have played this course many times through business functions and would not spend my personal funds on a course that is poorly maintained and has homes too close to fairways and greens. There are many other courses in the Virginia Beach area that are in way better condition and more fun and scenic. Staff are not friendly at all and forget about stopping at the 19th hole for a beverage if it is after 7 PM.

Really tight course. Watch out for errant tee shots and second shots.

I have played this course several times over the years. I never been impressed with management or personnel but you really don't see much of them. The course is challenging and demands good course management. Their several blind shots and evil dog legs. It is not your go-for-it kind of course, that choice shouldn't be taken lightly. Their are also lots of houses and water everywhere, so be aware.

Honey Bee GC as sweet as it sounds?

Let me begin by saying I'm not a great golfer. My handicap is around 25. But, seeing as I play Honey Bee quite a bit I'll tell you how it is.

If you are looking for a club that is fancy and has amazing views, you would be squandering hard-earned money by purchasing a membership. This is Virginia Beach and there are plenty of options for your money.

Honey Bee is a great course to play if your are learning the game. It offers all of the usual hazards, it makes you take some shots you normally would not, and for the green fee it gives you all you paid for.

Although the maintenance or the course is not the best, (ie. poorly kept fairways, hard sand, and relatively slow greens.) It is a fun course to play, and again, not overly expensive.
