The 9-hole "Olde" course at the Shenvalee Golf Resort facility in New Market, Virginia features 3,034 yards of golf from the longest tees for a par of 36. Olde golf course opened in 1927.
GREAT place to take a golf trip. Nothing like jumping in the pool after finishing your morning round to cool off before heading out again. Taking your cart to the room was clutch, especially after we got trashed in an afternoon summer thunderstorm. The courses are scenic and interesting but very easy, which is a good thing for a large group as the high handicappers don't get beat up and the low ones get a lot of birdie chances to stroke their egos. Food is only OK but the service and again the convenience of never starting your car until it's time to leave makes up for it. Service was great too.
