The 18-hole "Heritage" course at the Heritage Oaks Golf Course facility in Harrisonburg, Virginia features 6,300 yards of golf from the longest tees for a par of 70. Designed by William R. Love, ASGCA, the Heritage golf course opened in 2001.
Also played on August 25, and I must say we did not experience the customer service issues of the previous reviewer. The man with the beard did indeed check us in but there was no incident. There were a few other people there who greeted us nicely and afterward we purchased a few pro-shop items and the man behind the counter(not the bearded guy) could not have been more accommodating. The course itself was in excellent condition with well maintained greens, fairways and tee-boxes. Playable layout, especially with a pair of par 5's on the back nine. Pricing was more than reasonable. Snack bar open (service was excellent) and, all-in-all, couldn't ask for a nicer round of golf, especially on a weekend. I'd go back in a heartbeat.
This clubhouse has the rudest, most hateful, unprofessional, and generally nasty staff in the Shenandoah Valley. I love the course and hate the staff. Not one of them is the least bit friendly and I actually believe they don't like having guests book tee times. Go play the course, it is fairly easy to score well with a nice layout, and just ignore those @#@#@#'s who work there.
