A very challenging course with tight fairways and trees everywhere, but one of the best deals in the area. Well maintained, and only thing I don't like about the course is the houses everywhere. Great course for the money.

Reviewed June 27, 2011

Too many blind shots and elevated greens.
plus, poorly designed in relation to the homes surrounding the course.

Overall this course has a ridiculously bad layout. Too many blind shots. If you don't know everyone hole, you'll have no idea where to aim or what club to use. I have yet to have tee off at the time schedule. Be happy of you tee off within an hour of your tee time. This course is constantly overbooked. They will book you right in the middle of a scramble! Just crappy management.

Played three times so far, and scored 101, 92, and 83 (I am 15 handicapper). Challenging course on your driving and approach. A few elevated greens, dog-legs, blind shots, but good combination of hazards. Tight fairways (bunkers, OBs, and trees) so good club selection is a must for most of holes. Large greens and slops will ask you good ball positions on the greens depends on the pin locations. GPS is off in distance in a few holes, annoying. A few fairways are wet all the time. Overall, a nice course, and I am playing this course again this weekend, and more.

Played this course on a Friday (should have known), tee times were running 40 mins late. While waiting someone walked off the course after 9and said it took 3 1/2 hours to play, came to the 10th and there were 4 groups in line so he left. It took us over 6 and we never saw a marshall. Fairways are in great condition but the greens are as hard as the cart path and mostly elevated, so when the ball bounces over its tough to get it back up. Houses are too close to fairways. Expect to lose at least 4 balls and add 10 strokes.

Played it for the first time a few weeks ago, was surprised by starter telling us that it was cart path only - no mention of it when we made tee times the day before, and this on the hottest day of the year. Hot and humid! Would play again if in the area and can get a deal on the rate. Driving range set out behind some houses away from clubhouse. Putting surface at clubhouse, well stocked pro shop. Full bar, full menu.

Have played many times. Course not back in full shape yet but fairways and tee boxes are in fantastic condition. Still get excited to look out on Lake Manassas every time I play. Definately a course that will test all of your shots, but plays fair. New marshal is a real jerk. Told my group to pick up play when we were 40 mins ahead of pace on the 15th and is a real cocky individual when hanging out in the clubhouse, so I could do without him.

Played this course for the first time. A 20 handicapper, I found the course very challenging, but very enjoyable. My only complaint - the greens were not in good shape, but should look better soon, hopefully. Can't wait to play it again.

One of the toughest courses in the area. If you want to really challenge yourself and add 5 to 10 strokes to your game, this is the place to go.
Very narrow fairways, tough approach shots and greens are tough too.
A little expensive, so bring your best golfer friend, and dont be surprised if you shoot 10 over your average.

best layout of any course in northern VA, great but challenging approach shots, numerous doglegs, and challenging greens, the only knock is the maintenance, greens were not great, but a must play, i would love this course even if it were snow covered, its just a lot of fun. and the 9th hole is modeled after 17 at sawgrass, a nice little challenge just before making the turn! Play It!

Challenging course. Very nice yet tough layout, probably as good as many of the top courses. Fairway and greens suffered from summer drought, although only a few holes were severe. In top condition, this course would be one of the finer courses to play.
