The 18-hole "Gunston" course at the Fort Belvoir Golf Club facility in Fort Belvoir, Virginia features 6,854 yards of golf from the longest tees for a par of 72. Designed by Robert Trent Jones, ASGCA, the Gunston golf course opened in 1950. U.S. Army Morale, Welfare and Recreation manages this facility, with Tim Coolican as the General Manager.

Narrow fairways with lots of elevation changes. First time I played the Belvoir courses the Gunston ate me up. Course knowledge is very handy. The gunston is challenging test of your skills. Would recommend b/c of the value, the test of your skills and the scenery.
