@lisadel, I am a member of the staff at Birkdale Golf Club and I would like to say first, that we are sorry you had a poor experience with us in February of 2014. Conditions for golf in the Mid-Atlantic region can often deteriorate in the off-season months, but here at Birkdale we have done our best to combat the perils of seasonal golf. We have undergone renovations since your review that have improved our golf course, allowing for the best possible play each season. We sincerely hope that you will return to Birkdale to enjoy a much more positive experience.

Typical goat ranch. Burned out greens made play impossible. I was informed from a disgruntled Club Member near us that this happens EVERY year. Play somewhere else.

The staff has done a good job recently keeping the course in shape. The summer has been hard, especially on the greens. Wide fairways, residential views. Playing surfaces were in good shape. Staff was great, and grill had good food.
