The course has undergone some construction over that past few years, but it has paid off. The links style holes are challenging, but not too terribly difficult. A lot of slope on the fairways so even decent drives can have tricky stances. The last few holes of each 9 are dramatically uphill, making for some good challenges to finish the round. There aren't easily locatable yardage markers (other than tee boxes and the 200, 150, 100 in the FWs) and even the common ones (200, 150, 100)are sometimes hard to find.

The tees and fairways were all in great shape, better than I have seen in the past, but in this particular round the greens had just been sanded. (Would have been nice to know when I booked the tee time). Not as bad as 'NavyJoeG' makes it out to be, but back then, the course was in disrepair. Much better now and a solid 4 out of 5.

Won't play here again

I played this course very early on a Saturday and asked the guy in the club house to describe the course for me. He left out that it was under constuction on several holes and failed to mention the standing water in the middle of the fairway on 6 of the first 14 holes. This makes for a frustrating round when you hit a very nice shot only to be half submerged. Markers are scarce and sometimes misleading. I have always seen 200/150/100 markers common place but not on this course. Tee box markers are very nice solid metal but offer no information other than what hole you're playing. There are no food facilities other than $4 hotdogs and $3 sodas. The course plays difficult with non-level hill laiden fairways and tiered greens. OB and sand hazards are common. I like difficult courses but the very poor amenities and condition make for a poor experience.

Fun Course with Lots of Variety

I just played in a tournament here, and it is just a great course. There is a large variety to the holes. It is pretty short, but well worth it. The course ascends and descends numerous times, making for some dramatic shots, and some great strategy. There are even times where it is in your best interest to hit your ball into the light rough on top of hills for a better vantage of the green.

worth the time and money

This is a great links style course. Although it takes some time to drive there from Salt Lake City, it is worth it. It is a nice change to most of the other public courses in the city.
