pretty nice place. just played this morning at 7:05. great tee time!! only 4 of us out there that early. i could get used to an early tee time like that. Nice people...fun course overall...some straightforward holes and some that make you think. will certainly come back again!! everyone should play this course a few times.

This course is the toughest public course in Texas - the West winds invariably play into your face and make it tougher. Narrow fairways and a slope of 132 from men's tees (142 from the tips) make this course a real experience for those who feel they're better than they really are. The only problem is no marshals to police five-somes (especially foreigners) who have no concept of allowing smaller and faster groups to play through. Of course, that's typical for the Austin area where certain groups wouldn't know anything about golf etiquette. If only they posted something on the scorecard about allowing faster groups to play through or else risk getting kicked off the course. I've played courses where marshals are polite yet firm in dealing with slow play so I don't think they'll lose customers in adapting this philosophy. They'll lose more customers if they let certain groups ruin the game for the rest of us.

A really good course for the price -- most courses of this price don't have the level of maintenance or care in design that Shadowglen has. Greens are quick but pure. Fairways are generally in good shape and are very hilly -- there aren't a lot of level lies to be found unless you hit a precise shot. GPS on the carts really helps.

Bring balls, this is a tough course. Its a great value, and one you will want to come back too.

good course for under $30. bring extra balls you might lose a few. fun and unique course. i do not like how close the womens tees are to the greens. often on par 3's they are like 75 yards from the green. women may find the tees too close and unable to use driver. gps is good and highly recommend the course.

Talk about an unfair course, four times I landed my drive in fairway only to have it roll off and become lost in vines and the heavily wooded areas. I understand that just because a ball lands in the fairway does not mean it stays there but you should be able to find it. There were a couple of times looking for my ball I swore I heard dueling banjos! The greens have severe undulations and are like putt putt greens! The greens keeper must have been upset on Monday because every pin was tucked either back left with a bunker in front or front right with water coming into play. The staff is great the GPS on the carts are a nice feature. I'll give it another try soon.

Really enjoyed myself. Greens are large and really fast. On a couple of holes, it was hard to tell where to try to hit the ball. This course needs to be played a couple of times to really know when to be agressive and when not to be! Course in really great shape. Go have some fun!!
