Course Reviews

Average golf course. This is my home course and I used to play it a lot because they had a $10 super twilight where you could play 9 holes with a cart and range balls. They have now raised the price to $15 with no range balls.

As for the course it is rather plain, with almost every hole being a straightaway par 4 or par 5 with an occasional bunker. Hole 7 is nice with the lake in the background and hole 8 is a cape style par 4 with a drive over a water hazard.

Other than those two holes there is little to mention because the course is the most basic golf you can get.

Worth playing if you want to get a quick cheap round in or a beginner. I played my first round of golf on this course, and I think that is a good way to start.

This is a fairly decent course, not very difficult with straight fairways and minimal hazards. Hole number 7 is a nice little par 3 hole with lake lewisville in the background. The course was in good shape and the greens were about average. Overall if your looking for a good course for after work or when you need to get in a quick round, this is a good spot. If your looking for a nice and more enjoyable round of golf, I would check out a few other places first.

Plain. Boring.

Currently, the greens are awful. They just finished redoing some of them which is understandable for those holes, but even the greens they didn't redo are in bad conditions. It's a good course though if you're new to golf, or if your looking for something easy.

I played Lake Park for the first time today. The layout is like an old-style municipal with many adjoining fairways. The course is short (6200 from tips), the fairways generous, no sand, little water. As a result, the course plays easy. They appear to be in the process of replacing the greens, about half of which have been completed. Right now the greens are very soft and slow. The fairways and tee boxes are in good shape. The course is now being managed by Eagle Golf, so I expect the greens will be much nicer in the future. Unfortunately, there is only so much you can do with the blah design of the course. If you are looking for a short, easy course...

yuk, boring....no trees on this course. not very scenic. too easy....even for a beginer

The greens were a mess in march 2009.

I played this course in February, so it was still a little early in the year so the course maintenance was so-so. However, I was disappointed with the layout; it’s very much a "down and back" style design. Overall not very challenging and a little over priced.

Solid beginners course. Not too expensive or difficult, but in decent shape overall. Only complaint is the lack of yardage markers on the course (probably to help promote sales of the GPS unit at the clubhouse). Avoid this course after a heavy rain, several of the holes flood easily!

Played this course with my wife, and had a good time. The course is very straightforward and not too difficult. The rough in places was very well developed and a bear to get out of but all in all very playable. The greens were pretty much flat, and I never had any big breaks but the speed was very consistant which made ofr a great chipping and putting day. All in all very nice amenities for the price, the GPS system was great although I disagreed with a few of the yardages given during the round. The only complaint I had was it was packed and there was always at least one group and sometimes two waiting at each tee.

Simple course

Good begginer golfer course located on the edge of lewisville lake.
