Recently just played here after hearing about "renovations". I'll list the pros first since there are very few. There are wide open fairways, which is good for beginners or learning. There is a PGA professional aboard. And lastly is near The DFW airport which was great because I had to pickup friends and I go straight there. CONS: (get ready). Amenities are horrible. Lack of a store, food choices, everything. Basically the club house has lots of seating, cash register, and a few polos and balls to buy. Don't hit at the driving range in the morning! It's facing east and you will basically not see your ball about 150yd out. Maintenance of the course is really bad. Flooding, construction, cart pathways, tee boxes, and the greens. I have played on a lot more well maintained municipal courses then this. 0-10 I give this place a 2-3. Find better quality golf courses then this place. It is a shame because this place would be solid but it seems no maintenance is in place. Only should be a last resort. Go and find better courses like Luna Vista, Prairie Lakes, Stevens Park, and Tenison.

Upfront, I dislike this course, and I rate it among the worse in the Dallas area. The course is built on an old landfill, meaning the soil is very unstable--lots of potholes, lots of rough ground, and the cart paths are always in poor shape. Beyond that, the course maintenance is poor. If you are a hacker and are just looking for a place to play and really have no concept of what distinguishes good courses from bad courses, then Twin Wells may be just the place for you. Otherwise, there are dozens of better golf values in the Dallas area.

Could really be good if a little time and money spent on it for conditioning and upgrading. Landscaping, etc. Understand there are problems with wild hogs tearing up some turf. A good value.

Greens were very well kept especially for a municipal course. The fairways were decent and the layout wasn't bad. Very few amenities to speak of but that's to be expected. With the online specials, you can play for under $20. Overall, a great value. I'll definitely be going back.

I really hate to rip a course, but this is the worst course I have played in Dallas. Lets start at the beginning, first if you show up in the morning don't bother warming up on a sunny day. The driving range faces directly east into the sun out of the balls I hit I was not able to see one past 100y off the grass. The next thing is I played during a weekend and no one was announcing who was up on the tess so it was kind of a free for all at the first tee. The course itself was in horrible condition, wild weeds and turned up spots of dirt in the fairways. The greens were nice and but don't over read breaks here as all of my balls really held their line instead of taking any precieved breaks. The course does not drain at all after a week of no rain there was alot of standing water off the fairways of the course. Overall it is a shame as the layout has such great potential and it could be a awesome course, but maintenance of it was very poor. I will not return here.
