i like pasadena golf course, fun to play. They could improve yardage markers making it easier to see. DO NOT play this course if you have an odd number of golfers, someone will be stuck paying extra when riding a cart. On a weekend that will cost some unlucky golfer $57.21(weekend) for 18 holes riding a cart, i like pasadena golf course but not that much. Was not allowed to walk or use pull cart on sunday. i have played many golf courses in the houston area and beyond and was never charged an extra fee for a single riding golfer on weekend.

I love this course. It is very challenging. You have approach the greens in certain spots or you will catch the slope and roll off. I love that too. Keith has done a great job managing and improving this course. However, there is one guy working the morning shift that I don't really trust. He argued with us as seniors that we needed to pay 30 dollars on a Friday, when the posted flyer clearly states "Senior Rates-Monday through Friday". He said that will change and he was going to remove the flyer. Also, twice, i've paid cash for my round and he didn't ring me up on the register or give me a receipt. The optics of that behavior is not good. There is no record of me even being there. I would suggest that overhead cameras are installed over the register to deter any possibility or temptation to steal. Just saying. I've been playing at this course for years and it's my favorite course.

I play this course often... It's close, and it's inexpensive... It's also challenging, because it's really two courses in one...
Generally speaking, the front nine is tight, with plenty of tree-lined fairways to work around or through, and the greens are small-ish and often turtle-back shaped..
You must be precise with your approach shots to stay on the greens..
The back nine is much more wide open, and the holes play longer.. The greens are larger and flatter, but, you still have to reach them in regulation...
The greens are much improved at this point, and roll very well, although a bit slow...
The fairways are decent, but a lot depends on where your ball stops, and how recently they were mowed.. The rough can sometimes be.....rough!
Bumping the ball is not a bad thing!
Overall, a pretty good course to work on your game, and Keith has done a very good job improving things over the past few years...
And as others have mentioned, unless you want a LOT of exercise walking, getting a cart is not a bad idea...

I've only played 9 rounds at 3 courses, but so far the greens at this course are far superior to the other two low priced courses in/around East Houston. The greens are the best maintained I've seen so far (TV quality!) and they are very challenging for a beginner.

It's very noisy always since it's next to Ellington Airport. The management/employees have all been very friendly. Plenty of sandwiches, snacks & drinks and a snack/beer cart on weekends.

All of the players have been extremely nice and I would recommend this course to any novice to average player.

Was impressed with the course. The course was in good shape but the greens were slow. Played for $21 and it wasn't even twilight. You can hardly beat that price. If you aren't familiar with the course you will probably get lost on the cartpaths, we did.
