This course is very open and not in the middle of a residential area (which is my personal preference) so you don't have to worry about hitting school buses, joggers or houses on a bad slice. Water hazards and sand traps are low while the rough is rass about 8 inches high with trees spread out throughout. It's not an overly difficult course and is forgiving. There aren't many restrooms around and do the openess of the course au-natural can be frustrating if there are women about. I only saw the beer cart once! C'mon!!! If you work law enforcement the cost is great at $21; just don't forget your creds. Overall this isn't a spectacular course but it's solid and, unless you're a nit-pick, you should have a pretty good time.

There are some pretty decent places to go to for late lunch and a couple of beers on the other side of I-10 off of SHWY-6. Once you pass 10 if you loop back as if you were wanting to get on the feeder to head downtown, look for Grisby Rd. and take a right and you'll run into a group of places all in 1 spot. If you go further up 6 look for The Tilted Kilt on the right.

Wide fairways.
Average length with no hazards.
Pretty easy and straightforward.
Not worth more than 30$.

The course is fairly easy(no bunkers with a few water hazards). Good course to practice or if you are playing alone. I only play on weekdays because weekends are very overpriced and too many players. Sometimes weekdays are pricey as well. If it weren't for the e-coupons I would not play this course.

Great course for beginners with plenty of wide open fairways. I enjoyed the lack of bunkers and water hazards as well.

Nice wide open layout, great for beginners. Strangely no Sand bunkers. One notch up from the average municipal, a little pricy unless you use their online e-coupons.

Way too much money on a Saturday Morning. You can play Sharpstown twice for what you pay here. Starting to see some signs of maintence. This is a great track for beginners. Somebody please change the slope rating in GHIN for this place. Prairie Flats is the best description for this one.

I liked this course. Your able to grip it & rip it. pretty much wide open and no water or sand.

Reviewed January 04, 2008

I had a good time. Minimal water. No sand traps and open fairways. So, if you want to let that driver rip and be able to play from wherever it lands, this course will play well for you.

If you enjoy battling mosquitos then this is a course for you. There is tons of standing water throughout the course and I at one time counted close to 30 mosquitos hovering in my golf cart. Despite using OFF once before starting, and twice during my round, I was still bitten 16 times. The course itself is alright. There isn't much in the way of scenery, but the fairways and greens seemed fairly well maintained.
