$25 green fee/cart for a weekday afternoon round of golf of 2 1/2 hours. A short course (~6000yds) and in dire need of over-seeding. Every lie from the fairway was a tight lie. Greens are OK but could be better if the patrons would fix just one ball mark a piece. Amazing how little the golfers care for their course. Greens are of good size and in winter condition they are very fast. Don't expect to get away from the wind as it plays wide open from tee to green throughout the course. Cart paths are a little confusing - need markers or paint to tell you which way to go as some cross over others. Water in play on a few of the holes. If this course was crowded I could see a player or two getting bonked by a wayward short due to the course routing - so heads up on a weekend. Overall a decent option if you want to get a cheap round of golf in while driving through Ferris.

can be difficult, love the course

I have played this course several times in the past couple of years, but I play there only about once every 4 - 6 months. Mostly it's because my game is not good enough to handle the challenges of this course. I'm a 15 handicap and this course is pretty tough if you don't hit the ball consistently well and down the middle, and can shape your shots a little. I really like the layout of this course but this week, I hate to say, I found that I could not rate this course very high regarding the current condition of the course. It's been in better condition most of the other times I've played this course. It may be because it's early Spring but the fairway grass is not very full, in other words the fairway grass is pretty thin in places, and the fairway grass is very short. They are having some erosion problems, particulary around the green of hole number 12 and the east side of this green is falling away pretty badly and needs serious attention. It was apparent that the greens have been sanded a short time ago and the grass has not filled in on the greens yet to cover the sand so judging how easy or hard to hit the put was a challenge. I've always thought this course was more of a challenge than my game would allow for on most days but the condition of the fairways right now requires you to pick the ball pretty clean from thinner than normal fairway lies, and the greens are frustrating right now as well. I was really disappointed with the this course this week and probably won't go back for a while. I have to say too that the employee working the counter was not particularly outgoing or friendly and the grill was not open. There was no refreshment cart running during the day either. Overall, this course, in my opinion, needs some attention in several areas to make me want to go play there again.

Good coarse to play. Its not like the bigger coarses with large fairways where you can blast and land in them. the fairways are alittle narrow so you have to really play your shots. If your a "spray and pray hitter" or also know as "golf cart golf" where you have to chase your ball it may not be a coarse for you for its hillie and has some tall native grass area. Back in 2000 the number 10 hole was ranked one of the hardest in the metroplex. Its a par 5 500+ yards and you have to hit over one of the 3 lakes there 3 times. Cant really say the price is to high for there always having a special going on, like on Thursday its $22.00 all day. They allso have 2 twilight times the last being after 5pm and only costing $18.00 for as many holes you can play. Very good and challanging coarse.

Good course. Has some tough holes, but a little higher priced than nicer places like Prarie Lakes. I play here more since it's closest to my home.
