Lakeside Golf Course, Eastland, TX

I am going to be a bit lenient on rating this because I feel like West Texas courses need to be cut a bit of a break especially during a drought. Since Eastland has 2 18 hole courses, for the life of me I don't know how they can both be sustained, this course was an unexpected surprise. There's nothing fancy about it but it was a lot prettier than anticipated. It is also nicely maintained.

Even though it is hot and dry, the course looks beautiful. Entire course is being watered and the greens are in wonderful shape. Lots of water comes into play with this course--several creeks, 5 ponds. Best features are the huge oak and pecan trees. The food is great at the clubhouse and there is a bar. The tournaments we have played in are well organized with large pay-out. This course is the best kept secret in Texas.

Let's just say when it rains the course looks great. We are in a small town in Texas where there are a lot of dry spells and it's very hot in the summer. I can't complain much about this golf course b/c I'm a member there! They treat me very well as well as others! I love this course!

this course has become one of the nicest courses around that area. The fairways have grass and are narrow its a fiarly tough but easy course to enjoy so you should defiantly go see how much this course has imporved.

Lakeside CC Eastland, TX

Course was in bad shape. Fairways were thick in spots and dead in others. It was hard to find a good lie in the fairway. Greens were challenging, very small and overgrown. Price was reasonable but more than it was worth. This course needs work. It is a classic "goat-patch" course but does have potential. Iwould not recommend this course to an average player. Leave it for the hackers.
