Grayson College Golf Course, Denison, TX

this is the perfect daily golf course. medium to low traffic. wide open fairways, big greens. totally worth the price. water is expensive and this course barely gets by , but when mother nature helps its the best in the area for enjoyable low pressure fun. memberships are affordable and the daily games (every morn at 9) are casual. no wonder everyday im playin with guys from all other local courses. save yourself headache and go here.

The staff here was very professional and helpful. They are very understanding when it comes to new golfers and were not pushy. This particular morning was my wife's 2nd time playing golf, so obviously she can't hit very far; we got stuck in the middle of a tournament on the 3rd hole. I called back to the pro shop explained what happened and they gave us a voucher for our greens fees and cart in full then "Mike" took time to help her with her swing free of charge. For being a public course I give it a "thumbs up" for value, maintenance, and difficulty. I've played worse courses and harder courses. I would definitely go back. The pro shop has plenty of snacks and other stuff. (I don't normally buy equipment from a pro shop) Reminder - In golf everyday is a whole new and different day...
