Poor greens. Poor pace of play. No water to drink on course when temperature was over 100. Beverage cart showed up after we had been on course for four hours. There are much better courses in the area to play.

This is a tight track with a premium on driving accuracy. Numerous blind shots, doglegs, hills, and water hazards, plus the wind was always present as I'm sure it usually is in Dallas. The pace of play was slow the Saturday I visited but I enjoyed the course nevertheless. The greens were on the slow side and tough to read. The $75 green fee was a bit much I thought and I wouldn't play it again at that price. The price gouging extended to the clubhouse where a small soft drink was $2.25!

This was a good course with great service when it was owned by Club Corp. Now, it is a good course with horrible service! The staff is rude, no water on the course, and you never see a beverage cart. Go to Texas Star or Cowboys Club. Better courses, service and value!

Bear Creek East was a really nice course. The fairways were in great shape. All the greens except one were in really nice shape as well. Not the greatest amenities as compared to other courses but serviceable. The only down side is its location which is right by the airport. There is alot of jets flying overhead.

Great course

Bear Creek East is the nicest course I played in the Dallas area. It was in very good shape, and I played it in August. Very challenging but fair. A little pricey - I played it on a promotion card and just paid the cart fee, but regular rates are pretty high. Still a good value compared to the burned out Cowboys and Mansfield National that I played on the same trip.
