The addition of concrete cart paths was a plus for this course. However, to pay $35 just to walk ($20 more to add a cart), what used to be economical has become outrageous. They have NO course marshalls to speed play up so rounds can be very slow. Furthermore, the driving range is subject to closing when ever the student workers want - how poor is that decision to close at 7PM on a dry day when sunset is still an hour away? Must have been a hot date for the night.

The course has gone downhill over the last year since the A&M team went to Traditions Golf Course. The cart paths are filled with numerous pot holes. Many fairways are devoid of grass. Greens are generally in decent shape but balls tend to skip and dance across the inconsistent grass lengths. Moreover, they recently increased their rates. It's a shame, this used to be a great value and one of the top economical courses in the state.

Standard munincipal course with plenty of college traffic. Course conditions can be ragged. A bit better greens than the local Bryan muni but inconsistent as well. Short opening par 5 that can really get your round off to a good start. Decent value if just looking to break out the sticks for a local round.

Great Bang for the buck. Good walking golf course, better track than the Bryan Muni. Yes its a little rough around the edges. It is a shame A&M won't help these folks with their infrastructure. Not many schools have a course on Campus. Have played this golf course off and on for over 20 years, never had a drunk student experience. Play the tips the part threes have teeth.

Good for students on a budget

Good course for college kids who want to play, but course is poorly maintained and hard to have a good game when drunk college kids are driving across the greens.

Good Recreation Course, Bad for Professionals

This course is not a very fun course to play. You are constantly surrounded by A&M University, which is neat, but the course is lined by roads which causes a lot of noise. The course itself isn't that nice, the greens are very slow and the fairways are very dry. This is a great course for college students to go out and play on the weekends, but it's not for the serious golfer.
