I started playing this course around three years ago. Then I laid off for about a year. I had three buddies that became members out there after the new ownership had been acquired. The course is twice as good as it was when I was playing it before. The grass is much better and the greens are much darker. I have since become a member there and enjoy it daily. You will find the staff friendly and the course easier to score on. There are new renovations going on constantly. Also, I agree with Burger that Marandy cooks the best burgers around.

This has been my first year to be a member at Creek Bend. It has been amazing to watch all the progress and improvements taking place at Creek Bend Golf course this year. It seems every time we go out we notice something that's new or has been improved. I have been to 2 other local public courses this summer and the greens at Creek Bend were much better than the other 2. Now that it decided to rain again the fairways are green and the water hazards full. David, Steve and the gang are doing an excellent job with the course. I cant wait for the back nine to be finished!! On a personal note I've been golfing out here on an average of 3 or 4 times a week all summer and I have never been hit by a golf ball or come remotely close to being hit by one.

i have been a member off and on for about 3 years now. i have seen this course at its best and its worst...and right now it is the best i've ever seen it. i rejoined in july and have never been happier with the course, the staff, and the atmosphere that surrounds the clubhouse. everyone has a positive and upbeat attitude, whether they are shooting the best round ever or having a solid round of 100 or so (like me).

out of all the courses i have played at, this one is the best as far as having staff who care more about the people. they are truly interested in getting to know you and are up to shooting a quick round with you. i have nothing but respect for David Furrey (new owner) and Steve Tiemman (manager) and the rest of the staff for all that they have for the course and its members, i hope more see the progess and help make this course a brighter spot on the map.

This course takes a real golfer! An average Joe might miss the charisma and challenge of this course. The changes being made and the difference in this course are fa nominal. The new owners and management are not only working like crazy on improvements but putting their hearts and souls into this golf course and it shows. The environment and the people varying from the regulars to the awesome new members make this place! The atmosphere is happy, competitive, positive and a blast!!!! Texas is lucky to have this golf course and watch out for the future it is going to be amazing, it already is. Helmets are for sissies our golfers are athletes not only can they golf but dodge too!!! I have been extremely impressed and pleased with how the course is coming along. There is now grass in all of the fairways and the greens are starting to look better. I have played golf courses all over texas and oklahoma and this is one of the funnest and most challenging courses i have played. I highly recommend giving it a try you will not be disappointed. Plus Marandy makes delicious food.

As the new owner of the Blanket golf course I am very disappointed in the review from hornsbaseball1109. We purchased the course on July 1st and have put hundreds of hours in improving the course to make it better for our members and guest. I have played this course since the opening and you are right about the course not having grass and being tight. We are in the process of improving it and spreading it out to make it a safer place to play. Also we started the watering system and put down fertilizer three times since the take over and are starting to see some grass coming back in the fairways. Granted we have a long way to go, but the course is in the best shape it has been in since it was built. We have purchsed an addition 85 acres to the west and will begain to build the back nine this winter. The plan is to build a new club house during the winter of 09. So please give us a chance and come back and play after the improvements have been completed.

competes for the worst course in the US. The fairways dont have grass, the greens aren't green, and you need a helmet because the course is so squeezed together.
