This golf course was in terrible condition. I've never seen greens that were covered in weeds.
Very disappointing! Then on the 11th hole, this guy came and sprayed the greens with green fertilizer, it got all over our golf shoes and covered the ball. All over our hands!
To be honest I cannot believe ANYONE would stay there.
No stars!

A lot of knats on the course. Bring bug spray. Worth every penny.

Short, fairly easy course, with some very quirky holes. Not a great course in my opinion, but there were some decent holes. The greens were VERY slow. I would concur with some of the other posters, the gnats were out of control on many holes. On two consecutive shots I hit a bug in my backswing that was so big it disturbed me. Some very pretty holes though, and the snack shop behind nine was really a cool spot. I could sit there for hours having a beer and watching people play 9 (which is one of the better holes).

If you are going to Gatlinburg to play golf this isn't Myrtle Beach - you have the choice of two courses in the area. However, for the price this course was worth the money. Bent grass greens, good scenery, decent conditions (what resort course doesn't have a bunch of ball marks?) A word about the gnats - get ready for them and don't let them bother you if you intend to play in this area because they are all over both courses. I guess in August you can have heat or bugs - if you prefer the heat stay home because you will have the bugs on golf courses in the Smoky Mountains.

The course was fun to play once on vacation, and the twilight rate was a pretty good deal (~$29 with cart), but the gnats were ungodly. From the moment I stepped on the first tee the only time they left me alone was when I was on the cart driving away from them. The scenery was amazing for someone who grew up in Illinois, but the bugs took away from the experience.

Played the course while on vacation in August. Could have been a decent course, however, the course maintenance, amenities and overpopulation of gnats that swarmed around you on every shot (tee box, fairway and the greens) made the day horrible. The back nine were in slightly better shape and a few less bugs. Overall, the greens were not in good shape and fairways needed a lot of attention to. Unless there was a major renovation on the course, would never play here again. A definite waste of $30 + time. A newer course down the road in Pigeon Forge is a better choice.

this course is aweful, you will be swarmed by bugs, no joke, the bugs are so bad you cant play, the greens are terrible, large chunks missing from most greens, if you have choice of gatlinburg golf course or this one, please play the gatlinburg course, bent creek is really bad.

For the money the course is not worth it. The course was jam packed, sometimes there were 3 people on a hole. The only nice thing is that the staff was kind and gave us our money back!!! PS. The greens needed a lot of help!

Played this one while on a three day vacation. First impression was great, pull into the village and the mountain backdrop is a bit breathtaking. But! As I was waiting for the starter to send me to the first T-box, I noticed that I was being swarmed by gnats. A bad spot I thought at first; but no. The whole golf course has GNATS; ‘Everywhere’! Not only that, I ended up in some of the sand traps around the greens. And later realized I had been bitten by about forty sand mites/fleas!! ‘These lil buggers drew blood!. This place has a bad bug problem, unrealistic golf shots on the back nine, $100 for two and no golf cart refreshment girl. Hole # 17 is often skipped by local members due to the steep hike UP to the par 3, 80 yard t-box that has no grass…..It’s artificial turf….(Cant use a tee).
I for one know that you need players, players =’s $$’s and that in turn allows you to maintain a proper golf course. This place needs to come up with a plan and get the bug issue solved!.
